Tesco is planning to sell or shut down its streaming service, Blinkbox, according to reports.
The Guardian writes that Dave Lewis, Tesco’s new chief executive, has begun a strategic review of the business and intends to seek a buyer.
If one cannot be found, it is likely Tesco will shut down the service, which it acquired in 2011. Michael Comish, Blinkbox co-founder and now group digital director at Tesco, is expected to stay with the supermarket giant.
