Universal Music Group has appointed Eric Berman as executive vice president of public affairs, effective immediately.

Berman has responsibility for public policy and government relations on a global basis. He has a dual line of reporting to Jeffrey Harleston, general counsel and EVP of business & legal affairs, and to Will Tanous, EVP of communications.
