Pioneering US concert promoter Barry Fey has died, aged 73.
Known for his work in Denver, Colorado, over the last 30 years Boulder Journal reports that "Colorado's biggest and best music promoter... helped turn live music into a brand pillar for the Rocky Mountain region."
In his early career he was known for booking rock acts and his shows included that of Jimi Hendrix, the Doors, Jefferson Airplane, and the Grateful Dead.
