Kings Cross venue Water Rats was temporarily closed at the weekend following damage to its roof but is due to re-open this Friday (October 18).

A photograph of an apparent roof collapse onto the stage was circulated but Clash has since been informed by  venue bookers that "much of the damage was merely aesthetic with the structure of the building remaining entirely unaffected".

Gigs booked for the week were either cancelled or moved to other venues.
