WeGotTickets raised a record-breaking £4433.25 for music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins for its 2012 Christmas appeal.

Of that figure, £3,087 was raised through customer donations throughout December, via a WeGotTickets donation box at the point of purchase on the site. Further to this, 100% of booking fees for tickets purchased on Christmas Day were donated by WeGotTickets, adding £724 to the total. In addition, most customers also chose to Gift Aid their donation, raising £622.25.

Nordoff Robbins is a charity and one of the UK's leading provider of music therapy services. It delivers over 50,000 music therapy sessions every year to some of the UK’s most vulnerable and isolated children and adults.

Awareness of the charity’s work was heightened by the Advent Calendar featured WeGotTickets.com throughout the campaign, highlighting a different aspect of Nordoff Robbins’ work each day up to Christmas Day.

Graeme Murray WeGotTickets fundraising co-ordinator said: “We are really pleased that WeGotTickets’ customers have supported our Christmas campaign for Nordoff Robbins in such a big way. Music really can transform people’s lives and our customers seem to agree, helping us to beat last year’s total by nearly £1000!”

Susie Baxter, Fundraiser at Nordoff Robbins said: “Thank you so much to everyone at WeGotTickets for their incredible support – and a big thank you too to all WeGotTickets’ customers who chose to donate to Nordoff Robbins. All the funds raised will help us deliver hundreds more music therapy sessions to some of the UK’s most vulnerable and isolated individuals."
