WME to acquire Timberlake, Swift agency IMG in $2.3bn deal

WME will acquire rival talent agency, and home to Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift and others, IMG Worldwide.

The acquisition will go through in a $2.3 billion deal, according to The Times.

Bids for IMG came in on Friday and WME came out on top against competing offers below $1.8 billion from CVC Capital, Chernin Entertainment and a consortium of ICM Partners and the Carlyle Group, according to Billboard insiders.
