Former One Direction member Zayn Malik has secured a solo record deal with RCA, having posted a picture of himself signing a contract with the label on Twitter.

In a follow-up tweet, Malik wrote: "I guess I never explained why I left, it was for this moment to be given the opportunity to show you who i really am! #realmusic #RCA!!"
