Russia is going to have to wait a while longer for the iTunes Store, which although set to launch today has been ‘indefinitely delayed’.
Reports from local news sources suggest that Apple does not yet have all necessary music licenses and “retailers do not have gift cards at their disposal so far.”
Beating iTunes to the post, browser maker Opera Software has launched its paid subscription music site Muz today in Russia, and the surrounding CIS countries.
Priced at 150 rubles ($4.78) per month, Muz offers unlimited downloads.
