Global One signs EMI Publishing deal
15:32 | Thursday October 16, 2008
Global One, a ground-breaking global music project, has signed a worldwide deal with EMI Music Publishing.
The project, in which featured artists each sing their interpretation of specially-written songs in their own language for a simultaneous release around the world in Spring 2009, launched at Popkomm, where they announced the EMI deal.
The album is being produced by Rob Hoffman (Christina Aguilera, Michael Jackson) together with Swedish producers Rampac.
It recently reached agreement with MySpace as a key promotional partner.
Global One chief operating officer Charlie Dilks says, “Finding the right publisher was extremely important as we knew we needed much more than accounting. We have deals with many different labels and artists in territories all around the world, but we needed one common global partner who could give essential support in each of these territories.”
