Yoko Ono has signed a deal with entertainment asset administration company Fintage House for the artist performance/neighbouring rights for John Lennon.
The deal, which covers the world outside the US, includes Lennon’s artist performance income from The Beatles’ sound recordings and his solo material and from blank tape levies and other private copy monies.
Fintage CEO Niels Teves says, “We are honoured to be representing yet another icon from our industry with some of the most prestigious and influential recordings in history. The scope of the service we provide and our personal approach continues to bring our clients the desired results which we are delighted to provide to the Lennon heirs as well.”
The deal was undertaken by Suzanne Plesman and Bruce Lampcov for Fintage and Jonas Herbsman representing Yoko Ono.
Lampcov says, “John Lennon is probably the most important recording artist of the 20th century and it is a great privilege to be working with his estate.”
