Warner seeking buyers?

According to the New York Times, a sell off could involve anything from the entire company, to its publishing arm Warner / Chappell or a number of its labels.

A sell off of parts of Warner, which had a 20% share of the US albums market last year and 14.6% of the UK, would go against the recent trend for consolidation among the major labels with, for example, Sony and BMG merging in 2004.
