Vazquez to step down from IFPI Latin America

During his tenure Vazquez helped to integrate the former regional trade group FLAPF into the global structure of IFPI, as well as advancing intellectual property reform across the region through legislation, including copyright term extension and tougher penalties for music piracy.

IFPI CEO Frances Moore called Vazquez "a great colleague", explaining he had given "tremendous service to the music industry in Latin America".
