The awards ceremony, which 1Xtra calls "the biggest black music event in the calendar", takes place at the Glasgow SECC on October 5.

The digital station starts its coverage at 4pm the same day, with Tim Westwood backstage at the SECC.

Westwood will speak to performers as they sound check, with Gemma Cairney reporting from the red carpet throughout the night.

Coverage continues into Mistajam's show from 7pm until the event finishes.
