The station will broadcast the Peel lecture, to be given by The Who guitarist Pete Townshend, from 7pm on October 31 as part of the Radio Festival in Salford.

It has also lined up a supporting programme celebrating Salford, including a special showcase gig and documentaries, going out from October 31 to November 2.
