Live Music Bill 'closer than ever' to becoming law

The Bill was introduced in the House of Lords last year by Lord Clement-Jones and made it through another barrier on Friday when it passed its 'second reading'.

If passed, it will allow small venues like schools, colleges and village halls to hold concerts without needing a costly licence as well as making it easier for venues with an existing licence - such as pubs - to put on live music events.
