Warner Music Group annual revenue down but digital revenue climbs

The company saw a 6% decline in overall revenue for the three months ended September 30 year-on-year ($753m - $707m) but a 7% increase in digital revenue over the same period ($197m - $210m).

Warner cites a light release schedule alongside the continued transition to digital in the recorded music industry. Digital revenue represented 29.7% of total revenue for the quarter, compared to 26.2% in the prior-year quarter.
