US court to rule on users' access to locked down Megaupload data

The file-sharing site was shut down in January meaning that thousands of people lost access to data on Megaupload servers.

The closure was called for by US law-enforcement agencies, which said Megaupload had violated copyright law.

The court case will be heard in Virginia, US and is being brought by the Electronic Frontier Foundation which is acting on behalf of Megaupload user Kyle Goodwin.
