Radio 1 falls short of target audience standards set out by BBC Trust

The review called on the station to refocus on younger listeners and comments from the recent report said the stations audience was still too old.

Chaired by Lord Pattern, the trust explained the median age of listeners had remained constant since the 2009 review although, due to a change in Rajar methodology it stands at 30, rather than 29, therefore just outside the target age group of 15 to 29-year-olds, they explained:
