First acts announced for BBC Music Awards

The first acts performing at this year’s BBC Music Awards have been announced in a live link up between the BBC’s Radio 1 and Radio 2 Breakfast Shows.

Presenters Chris Evans and Nick Grimshaw also announced that tickets are now on sale for the inaugural event, which will see One Direction, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Calvin Harris, Paloma Faith and Clean Bandit perform.
