PATHS is female solo artist, Jules Shawe. Her indie-electronicsound blends looped guitars, synth hooks and sampled vocals with a live performance enhanced by a synchronized light show. She launched on 21st January with her self-released debut ‘Neoprene’ and quickly followed one month later with a split-release of ‘Last One Standing‘ and ‘Right Beside You‘. All three tracks were subsequently performed live in BBC session at BBC Radio Ulster’s Across The Line.
In less than two months PATHS has gained airplay on BBC Radio 1 as a Phil Taggart ‘Future First’, featured as a Nialler9 song of the week in The Irish Times and became Richer Sounds / Q Magazine unsigned artist of the week. PATHS music has been described by CLASH magazine as “bewitching and wholly intelligent” and each release has quickly become a Hype Machine favourite.
