POLL: Should Chinese authorities be able to restrict TV talent shows?

The amount of TV singing contests in China has come under fire recently as media authorities put a stop to production of new programmes of a similar kind.

Shows airing in the country at the moment include The Voice of China and Chinese Idol whilst a local equivalent of The X Factor by Hunan TV wrapped in June.

Seven such shows will be continuing, two have been postponed and three pre-production shows have been halted.
