Faber Alt have announced the signing of British musical collective Ishmael Ensemble.
Helmed by producer and saxophonist Pete Cunningham, the electronica and jazz-infused Bristol group came to prominence with their 2019 debut album A State Of Flow.
Their latest LP, Rituals, came out in 2024 and charted in the UK Top 40, also reaching No.2 in the Official Dance Album Charts.

This year saw the formation of Ishmael Ensemble & The Rituals Orchestra, an expanded live show, including a string quartet, harpist and guest vocalists from across the group's catalogue, while a new album is also in the works.
“I'm delighted to be joining such an amazing group of writers and artists at Faber Alt," said Cunningham. "The Faber brand speaks for itself in the world of publishing and comes at an exciting time for me with both my Ishmael Ensemble project and as a composer for TV & film. I can't wait to step into this new partnership with lots of new and exciting projects on the horizon."
Faber Alt senior creative manager Ed Marquis added: “Ishmael Ensemble is an incredible outfit, and working with Pete feels like a great fit for both sides. Faber Alt had previously talked about signing Ishmael Ensemble, so this feels like a brilliant full-circle moment. Pete’s new album is amazing, and everyone should hear it!”
