Charts analysis: Ariana Grande breaks streaming records

Ariana Grande’s Thank U, Next returns to growth with consumption growing 50.99% week-on-week to 83,660 sales, as it racks up its fifth straight week at No.1. That total includes 75,563 from sales-equivalent streams, which hit a record 14,870,218, more than half of which are for its newly released video.

The last single by a female soloist to debut at No.1 and remain there longer was Leona Lewis’ Bleeding Love, which rattled off seven straight weeks at the summit in 2007.
