Beatport CEO Robb McDaniels has spoken exclusively to Music Week about plans for a subscription service and the resilience of download sales on the DJ music platform.

McDaniels, founder and former CEO of Ingrooves, was appointed at Beatport in October 2017. The dance music brand has refocused on the DJ community under parent company LiveStyle, which emerged from the bankruptcy of SFX Entertainment in 2016.
