Spotify will be running a Songshop songwriting camp hosted by Wayne Hector at Sarm Studios in London on September 11-14.
The event is part of Spotify’s Secret Genius initiative, which highlights the work of songwriters and producers and includes Songshops, The Secret Genius Awards, podcasts and curated playlists.
Hector, a Spotify Secret Genius Ambassador, has collaborated with artists including Nicki Minaj, One Direction and Westlife. He has curated the list of writers, producers and artists attending the Songshop Sarm Studios event, with a view to creating new urban pop dance music during the four-day session.
Attendees include Birdy, Charli XCX,and songwriters Giorgio Tuinfort, Jamie Scott, Ina Wroldsen and Ed Drewett.
