The Orchard has named Chris Manning GM of the company’s business in the UK and Europe.
Manning will manage day-to-day operations and work with the MDs of each territory to ensure that sales, marketing operations and communications are synchronised across the continent. He will report to Ian Dutt, MD of The Orchard UK.
"This is a thoroughly warranted promotion for Chris,” Dutt said. “His contribution to The Orchard throughout his tenure cannot be underestimated, and I know he will thrive in this new position."
"I’d like to thank Ian and The Orchard for this incredible opportunity,” Manning said. "I am proud of the work we've done as a world-class global music company and I’m very excited to continue working with The Orchard's fantastic roster of domestic and international artists and labels."
In a decade at the distributor, Manning has worked in all areas of the company’s business, including sales and label management, business development and local and international operations.
As well as overseeing releases from artists including Carl Cox, Steve Aoki, Roger Sanchez, and Wretch 32, he played a key role in the merger of Red Essential into The Orchard UK.
