JOB SUMMARY

Joining a growing Neighbouring Rights team in London, reporting to the Society Relationship Manager, the Label Collections Assistant will work closely with the Society Relationship Manager, Label Collections to ensure delivery of the annual operational plan and be responsible for claiming client repertoire with societies and to ensure our claims are correct on societies’ databases as well as liaise with societies on queries and conflicting claims.

This is an office-based, administrative role that will require a highly analytical, detail-oriented and numerate individual with great communication skills.

WHAT DOES A SOCIETY RELATIONSHIP MANAGER AT KOBALT DO?

  • As payments are received from societies, communicate & resolve any issues which are flagged by the Royalties Team
  • Identify gaps in payments from societies & work with the society to maximize future payments
  • Keep society documentation up to date on shared drive & intranet
  • Prepare information for meetings as required
  • Participate in meetings as required

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

  • Excellent Excel & analytical skills
  • Numerate – comfortable with numbers & apply great accuracy
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • High level of written & spoken English
  • Ability to prioritise work
  • Good organisation skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure

You may be working for a music publisher, label or neighbouring rights society where you have extensive and regular contact with collection societies around the world.

Most important is that you have a positive attitude, great attention to detail and don’t mind tasks that can sometimes be a bit repetitive.
