An opportunity to lead and grow a fast-moving, highly specialised team – shaping strategy, winning new mandates and building a market-leading practice.

We're seeking a Head of Transaction Services to take overall ownership of the practice – driving deal origination, leading complex client engagements and building a high-performing team to meet growing demand.

The music catalogue market has matured significantly. Investors now demand rigorous financial due diligence, quality of earnings analysis and sophisticated valuation work. You'll be at the centre of high-stakes transactions, providing the analytical rigour that underpins investment decisions worth tens of millions.

What You'll Be Doing:

You'll be responsible for the Transaction Services practice end-to-end – setting its strategic direction, leading complex engagements, winning new mandates and building and managing a growing team of analysts and associates.

  • Owning and overseeing all financial due diligence on music catalogue deals
  • Driving new business development – leveraging industry relationships to originate mandates and expand the client base
  • Setting the analytical framework for royalty analysis and quality-assuring all client deliverables
  • Developing and maintaining the firm’s valuation methodology and financial models for catalogue and IP valuations
  • Reviewing and signing off investment-grade reports, pitch materials and client deliverables
  • Building, managing and developing the Transaction Services team – hiring, mentoring and setting performance standards
  • Managing client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact on key transactions
  • Providing strategic and commercial advice to clients on music IP investment, portfolio strategy and market positioning

What We're Looking For:

  • 8+ years in transaction services, corporate finance, valuations or a similar deal environment – with a track record of leading teams and winning work. Big 4, boutique M&A advisory, private equity, investment banking, music investment fund or comparable background
  • Excellent financial modelling skills – able to build, review and sign off robust, audit-ready valuation and transaction models
  • Financial due diligence experience – able to scope engagements, direct workstreams and take ultimate responsibility for DD output, working capital and cash flow analysis
  • Strong client relationship and business development skills – able to open doors, win mandates and maintain long-term advisory relationships across the music industry
  • Practice management capability – able to manage a portfolio of concurrent deals, allocate team resource and ensure consistent quality across all engagements
  • Proven team leadership – experience hiring, building and developing a high-performing team, with a genuine commitment to growing talent
  • Entrepreneurial mindset – you'll be building a practice, not just filling a seat. We need someone with the drive to shape, grow and take ownership of the Transaction Services offering

Desirable skills:

  • Well-connected in the music industry – with an established network across labels, publishers, investors, managers and advisors
  • Hands-on experience in music IP valuation, royalty economics, or music investment – understanding how catalogues are priced, structured and traded
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools and structured data environments
  • Track record of thought leadership, conference speaking or published work in the music/media transaction space

What Makes Someone Successful Here?

You'll already know music royalties and the transaction landscape well – what matters is that you combine technical depth with commercial instinct, leadership presence and the drive to build a market-leading practice.
