Social Media Manager

Overview:

LWE are London’s biggest underground event promoters and currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced and passionate Social Media Manager to join the team.

We are looking for someone with a passion for digital marketing and interest in electronic music. You will take the lead on developing social strategies for promoting some of the most recognisable events in London working across LWE’s own brand events as well as our partners such as elrow, Arcadia and more.

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for leading all social integration across the brands as well as playing a pivotal role in growing and driving new customer base across a variety of social media platforms to drive ticket sales for events, in tandem with the marketing team and their strategy. You must have a high standard of writing and editing copy, both your own and checking other inbound copy whether from the PR company or online content written by others. We also require you to have a good knowledge of setting up effective ad campaigns on all social media platforms to get the best without just ‘blowing the budget’ to deliver results.

Responsibilities:

  • Running the day to day execution of social media and continuing the growth of platforms for existing brands: LWE, Junction 2 and Hotbox
  • Developing social media plans and schedules
  • Generating creative ideas for content
  • Helping to deliver event promotion campaigns from their release until the completion of the event (including post-show feedback internally and externally)
  • Creating and delivering innovative social campaigns, which will add value and content to an overall event promotion plan
  • Liaising with marketing managers to ensure the social content is in line with the wider marketing plan
  • Working with designers to ensure social media content is aligned to the wider brand creative
  • Manage the social media department budget
  • Analysis campaigns and build a post-event report on your department
    Helping to check and approve written copy in eflyers and press releases
  • Responsibility for customer communications, including awareness of social media comments, replying to messages and management of the info@ emails
  • Managing the recently established collective of ‘LWE Ambassadors’, this will include setting and tracking their promotional activity, organising ambassador meet ups and engaging with them in the Facebook group to ensure their loyalty and excitement in our brands
  • Working at the larger events to post content across platforms live

Experience Requirements:

  • Excellent working knowledge and understanding of all social media platforms
  • Min 3 years social media experience
  • Currently in a social media / digital marketing role
  • Ability to run, target and analyse social media advertising campaigns
  • Proven track record creating exciting social campaigns
  • Knowledge of electronic music, specially house and techno
  • Experience in using Messenger bots and ManyChat
  • Ability to analyse and interpret social data to improve and develop campaigns
  • Keen eye for art and design and high standards for digital visual presentation
  • Experience working with designers and content creators
  • Must thrive in a fast paced and dynamic working environment and be able to work well in a team
  • Confident and positive persona, both with colleagues and event-partners
  • Excellent time management, organisation, prioritisation and proactivity
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Fluency in English required with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable:

  • Background in monitoring and analysing digital market trends
  • Interest in studying competitors' strategy and creative approach
  • Knowledge of a wide range of digital marketing techniques and concepts
  • Experience in running mailer campaigns & managing databases eg Mailchimp
