Atlantic's Asylum to back 'courageous artists'

Ed Howard has told Music Week that he wants Asylum Records UK to build on the first decade of success with Ed Sheeran, Anne-Marie and Rudimental to become the “pre-eminent major label imprint globally”.

Howard has been promoted from A&R director to MD of Asylum. The Atlantic imprint was relaunched in 2008 by Ben Cook, now president of the frontline label. Howard was his first appointment to Asylum.
