Beat again: 3 Beat taps into 'massive' Afrobeat scene to expand urban roster

3 Beat founder Jon Barlow has spoken to Music Week about the label’s ambitions to build on its “huge experience and success” in urban music following releases such as Skepta’s hit That’s Not Me.

As well as a dance roster including artists such as Sigma, Martin Jensen and Kungs, the Liverpool-based independent has a history with urban artists like Preditah, Fuse ODG, Sway and Skepta, who released two albums with 3 Beat.
