Island’s new senior director of promotions Steve Pitron has told Music Week he plans to push its combined TV and radio department away from “traditional promo campaigns”.
Pitron, who previously served as director of radio and whose past campaigns include Amy Winehouse, Florence & The Machine, Hozier and Drake, fills a newly created post heading up a combined promotions department.
The role will also see him work alongside the commercial team with Spotify.
