ADE has revealed that Def Jam CEO Steve Bartels will be delivering a keynote Q&A at ADE Pro, where he ill be discussing the power of artist-friendly A&R, and where he expects to see new business opportunities.
Bartels career began as a DJ in the 1980s, and was named CEO, Def Jam Recordings in April 2014. He is credited with working on some of the most successful artist campaigns of the last three decades.
The artists he has worked with, developed and promoted include the likes of Kanye West, Rihanna, Jay Z, Justin Bieber, Avicii, Mariah Carey, Outkast, Big Sean, Janet Jackson, Notorious B.I.G., Whitney Houston, Amy Grant, Jennifer Lopez, Alessia Cara, The Killers, Sean “P.Diddy” Combs, Sarah McLachlan, Pink, Jeezy, Sting, Avril Lavigne, Bon Jovi, NAS, Annie Lennox, Santana, Usher, Barry Manilow, Rick Ross, Ne-Yo, Lionel Richie, Frank Ocean, Jhene Aiko, YG, Afrojack and Iggy Azalea, to name just a few.

The Amsterdam Dance Event is the world’s largest club-based festival and conference for electronic music, takes place from the October 19-23. Around 375,000 national and international visitors are expected to attend the 21st edition.
The first wave of ADE festival acts have also been revealed today. This year’s Amsterdam Dance Event Festival will open with Scripted Orkestra, a collaboration between the acclaimed producer/composer/performer Henrik Schwarz and the world’s leading non-classical orchestra Metropole Orkest.
Bakermat, Dixon, Levon Vincent, Margaret Dygas, Maya Jane Coles, Martin Garrix, Richie Hawtin, Robin Schulz, Seth Troxler, Tale of Us and the Martinez Brothers have also been added to the bill.
