Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen celebrating indie music and culture with 12-hour party

East London’s Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen is hosting a 12-hour summer party to celebrate independent music and culture.

The summer bash, which takes place on bank holiday Sunday, August 28, kicks of at 1pm and will include a photography exhibition and independent record market.

UK band Frankie & The Heartstrings will be performing at the 300-capacity live room (supported by Johnny Foreigner), and Raw Meat will be hosting an after-party running until 3am with a DJ set from Everything Everything.

The party also marks 15 years of the venue. Mothership - the team behind The Book Club, Queen of Hoxton, and Patterns in Brighton - took over the venue in December 2015 with a core focus on safeguarding the venue’s live legacy. It has also been developing a more diverse programme of events, including new club programming, film screenings and photography exhibitions, including Origins East - the current exhibition on ‘80s and ‘90s rave culture, running now until August 22.

April also marked the start of a new restaurant collaboration with Smokey Tails.

Full party programme is as follows:
