Katy Perry, The xx, Stormzy and more confirmed for Glastonbury

Katy Perry, The xx, Biffy Clyro, Stormzy and Royal Blood are among the names confirmed to play Glastonbury this summer.

The Somerset festival’s initial line-up was announced this morning (March 30) and also includes a range of acts, from heritage artists Barry Gibb, Kris Kristofferson and Chic, to emerging talent such as The Lemon Twigs, Halsey and Nines.

Following Skepta’s Pyramid Stage appearance last year, grime is well represented again, with Stormzy, Kano, Boy Better Know, Dizzee Rascal and Wiley all on the bill.

There’s also a strong pop presence. As well as Perry, Lorde, Emeli Sandé, George Ezra, Clean Bandit and Craig David will all appear. Previously announced Sunday headliner Ed Sheeran also falls firmly into that category.

Sheeran, who revealed he’d be appearing at Glastonbury earlier this month, joins fellow headliners Radiohead and Foo Fighters, who will play Friday and Saturday nights respectively.

Glastonbury takes place at Worthy Farm, Pilton from June 21-25. Further names will be added to the line-up in the coming weeks. For full details go to www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk.
