Roger Waters unveiled as first British Summer Time Hyde Park headliner for 2018

Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park has announced Roger Waters as its first headliner for 2018.

The Pink Floyd legend will bring his Us + Them tour to the UK for the first time, with the show to take place on Friday, July 6.

Waters’ performance at Desert Trip in 2016 featured the biggest quadrophonic sound system ever made, and he has announced a full Us + Them European tour, his first since The Wall Live (2010-2013). That run took in 219 shows and more than four million fans and remains the highest grossing tour by any solo act in history.

Tickets are available via Barclaycard and fanclub presale from October 2 at 9am, BST presale from October 4 at 9am and on general sale from October 6 at 9am.

James King, SVP, AEG Live said: “Roger Waters consistently delivers the most exciting live experience I’ve ever seen. His legendary set from Desert Trip set new standards in production that to this day stand unsurpassed. To see his live show on The Great Oak Stage providing a soundtrack of Pink Floyd’s greatest hits will be a spectacle not to be missed.”

Daniel Mathieson, head of experiential marketing and partnerships for Barclaycard, said: “We’re really excited that Roger Waters, who is such an iconic figure in musical history, is the first headline act to be announced at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park 2018. In what will be the festival’s sixth year, Barclaycard customers can get a head start with exclusive pre-sale ticket access from 9am on Monday 2nd of October.”
