Jason Derulo, Dave Grohl and Jessie Ware set for BBC One music show launch

BBC One’s new music TV show, Sounds Like Friday Night, has unveiled its line-up for the opening episodes.

Broadcasting live from BBC Television Centre in White City, London, the show is fronted by Radio 1 DJ and presenter Greg James with Radio 1 Xtra’s A Dot. The pair will be sharing presenting duties with a different music artist each week.

The opening episode’s guest host is Jason Derulo. Along with hosting duties and singing live in the studio, Derulo will be introducing performances from Charlie Puth and Jessie Ware.

“I’m truly honoured to have been invited to be the first guest host on Sounds Like Friday Night,” said Derulo. “I always have a great time whenever I visit the UK, so I’m super excited to get the weekend party started with a hot new music show.”

James has filmed a sketch featuring a guest appearance from Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl, while A Dot will interview guests, monitor social media streams (at #SLFN) and meet music fans across the country.

The November 3 show will be co-hosted by Liam Payne. Liam Gallagher will also be performing.

The series’ theme tune is composed and performed by Royal Blood.
