Nation's favourite?: Radio 1 opens up about its audience strategy

Radio 1 must build on last year’s 50th anniversary celebrations to ensure the network “evolves”, controller Ben Cooper has told Music Week.

In the Q3 RAJAR figures for 2017, Radio 1’s audience stabilised at 9.7 million. Cooper is hopeful of a boost from the birthday events including Live Lounge Month featuring Jay-Z, Pink, Foo Fighters and Miley Cyrus.
