Apple's Eddy Cue: 'There's nobody that wants us to be more successful than the music labels'

“There’s nobody that wants [Apple] to be more successful than the music labels” said Eddy Cue, the company's SVP of internet software and services, after the unveiling of Apple Music at the WWDC last week.

In a rare Music Week interview with Cue and Beats co-founder Jimmy Iovine (which you can read here in full), Cue said that he has “read a lot about” the independent sector’s resistance to signing with Apple Music in the last few weeks.
