Beatport has paid 'trapped' royalties to majors, but indies left high and dry - sources

Beatport HAS released royalties owed for the past quarter to major labels - but independents are still yet to see a cent, Music Week understands.

The online EDM music store has caused controversy after sending out a letter to its label partners saying that, because its parent company SFX is currently involved in a ‘going private’ process, royalty payments have become “trapped”.
