Ben Cooper: 'We don't need a brand like Top Of The Pops'


BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra boss Ben Cooper (pictured) has explained the thinking behind the station's new chart TV show, saying a Top Of The Pops format could never work in the digital age.

Announced yesterday, and described as "an energetic mix of pop, gossip, user generated content interactive features and fast-moving entertainment", the show will countdown the UK's favourite downloads and songs in video form.
