BPI prepares new action against torrent sites... and Grooveshark

The BPI is readying a new effort to block the domains of websites thought to be infringing music copyrights, with up to 25 domains potentially targeted including Grooveshark.

UK labels have received a notification from PPL on behalf of BPI asking if any members have, in the UK, licensed their recorded music to a number of potentially copyright-infringing websites.

The notification says that the BPI has requested the information "in considering what next steps to take".
