Ex-Rhapsody and Google exec Tim Quirk (pictured) and Bryan Calhoun - formerly of SoundExchange - have launched a new technology company Freeform Development Inc.

The venture is designed to help artists build and earn from audiences by applying monetisation strategies inspired by the mobile gaming business, according to Billboard.
