Stockton's Grade II listed Globe Theatre is expected to be restored as a live venue by Christmas 2012 and will have a 2,500 capacity.

The development is being overseen by Stockton-based Jomast Developments Ltd and the local council with the aim of making the venue the largest indoor auditorium between Leeds and Newcastle.
