SoundExchange posts record royalty payments
US performance rights for sound recordings SoundExchange has announced total year-end royalty payments reaching $802.6 million (up 4% from $773.4 million in 2014).
Overall, SoundExchange - whose sister company in the UK is PPL - has paid $3 billion cumulatively in digital royalties to recording artists and labels since 2003.
