Swedish music market grows 12% in H1 2013

Total music sales value in Sweden increased by 12 percent in the first half of 2013, propelled by strong growth in usage of streaming services.

The overall record market increased from just over SEK 446 million in sales in 2012 to nearly SEK 500 million in 2013, according to IFPI/GLF data.

Digital sales increased by 33 percent compared to the same period last year and now account for 75 percent of total sales.
