Weatherley: 'Cutting off ad revenue to illegal sites is key to piracy battle'

The Prime Minister’s IP Advisor Mike Weatherley has highlighted efforts to cut off advertising revenues flowing to illegal websites as “paramount” in the battle against online piracy.

In a new report titled ‘Follow The Money: Financial Options To Assist In The Battle Against Online IP Piracy’ Weatherley suggests a number of actions to be taken by Government, rights-holders, ISPs and search companies.
