Q4 can be a frustrating time for retailers as it becomes clear that labels have held back their biggest names (or hurried them along) so they can sprint into the festive season with a series of sure-fire hits, taking advantage of the Christmas rush.

Thankfully, at Absolute, our clients have been bringing great names to market all year, and we’ve seen success across many genres - from pop icons like Steps or Shane Filan to singer/songwriters like Newton Faulkner and Jack Savoretti to rock acts like Deep Purple and Alice Cooper.

The music business has changed dramatically. The traditional album cycle has eroded. Now artists and labels have to reward their fans constantly, across multiple channels.
