Dan Neale, managing director of leading music supervision company Native Music, has told Music Week there are “more eyeballs” on Christmas advertising than ever before.
Neale, whose company used Yazoo’s 1982 hit Only You for Boots’ 2017 Christmas spot, welcomed increasing competition in the sector.
“BBC One’s Clean Bandit ident and Boots’ ad are challenging John Lewis, there was more social media activity around those being emotional than [there was] John Lewis,” he said.
