EMI:Chrysalis A&R director Sas Metcalfe is returning to her roots as a champion of songs and songwriters by quitting the record label to join a new European publishing venture.

Metcalfe is not yet revealing the name of the new outfit or the backers behind it, but says her job will be London-based with a continental remit. She also adds that a few other high-profile music executives are likely to join her at the new group.
